FanWorks will be online in 2020. (If you missed the rescheduling announcement, you can read about the physical con's move to March 2021 here.)
Some of the details yet to be finalized include
- How many days the con will run: two (Saturday & Sunday) or three (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
- The platforms (aside from the con website) that the online con will run on; we've been testing platforms and will likely be taking volunteers for additional platform testing soon
- Pricing, which will depend in part on the cost of the digital platforms we choose
- The full schedule of panels, vidshows, and events
- Submissions deadlines for the zine, vids, and programming
There's a lot of planning yet to be done, and we want to make sure that the con we design works as well as it can for our attendees. Surveys and planning posts will be rolling out over the next few weeks, starting with this one: we need your help picking a con weekend!
Without travel in the mix, we want to look at a wider selection of dates for the online con than just the original con weekend. Most weekends in August, September, and October are being considered. Please click over to the survey and choose any and all dates that you think you would be able to attend the online con:
