fanworksThe con is one week away! We're putting last touches on events, stocking up for the con suite, and printing final materials. To help us with these final pieces down the home stretch, we need some information from con attendees:

In the survey we ask for con suite beverage preferences, arrival and departure days if you want to give them (this helps us a lot with planning but is completely optional), and facts about yourself from anyone who wants to participate in the Thursday night scavenger hunt.
But wait, you might be saying: what's the Thursday night scavenger hunt?
New event: Thursday night scavenger hunt!
We've added a fannish scavenger hunt to Thursday after registration, to have some fun while getting to know each other. (This is a low-key meet & mingle social event, not a heavily structured icebreaker. No one will be made to stand in a circle, announce anything to the group, or do a trust fall. We promise.)
Everyone participating will get a list of random facts about other fans, ex. "posted first fic in 2007," "was active in Dark Angel fandom," "saw The Force Awakens six times in theaters," and will have to find fans who match the facts on their sheet. Anyone who participates will get a scavenger hunt button.
(You don't have to complete your sheet to get a button -- we know socialization can be hard! Any level of participation is okay.)
To set up the scavenger hunt, first, we need to get to know you! On the survey, we've asked potential participants to provide 1-3 fandom-related facts about themselves. Some examples of the kinds of information that are most useful:

- Counts / totals: I have posted # stories, I I have made # vids, I have knit # Daleks, I have been to # cons, I have watched [TV show] all the way through # times, I have read [book series] # times
- Platforms / identity: My first fannish platform was [Usenet/AOL/LJ/Tumblr/etc.], I have a different username on every platform I'm on, I have changed pseudonyms # times, I was active on [message board], I had a GeoCities website, etc.
- Random unique facts: Any fun, reasonably specific facts about your fannish history
